Biden Administration Intentionally Downplayed Myocarditis Risk Following COVID Jab

A newly released report from the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations confirms what many have understood for years. Under the Biden administration, federal health agencies failed to promptly and transparently warn the American public about the very real myocarditis risks linked to the experimental mRNA COVID-19 jabs, despite early evidence from Israel and VAERS data highlighting the dangers. In other words—based on newly unredacted documents—health officials were well aware of heart inflammation risks as a result of the mRNA shots. But instead of promptly alerting the public, which is their duty, they chose to stay tight-lipped on the results and downplay the risks. The report declared:

“Specifically, in May 2021, following months of reports of myocarditis after COVID-19 vaccination, health officials at HHS discussed whether to issue a formal warning about the adverse event. The formal warning about myocarditis was initially going to be distributed nationwide as a Health Alert Network (“HAN”) message, which, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (“CDC”) website, is “CDC’s primary method of sharing cleared information about urgent public health incidents with public information officers; federal, state, territorial, tribal, and local public health practitioners; clinicians; and public health laboratories.”

Health officials at the CDC and the Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) ultimately decided against issuing a formal HAN and, instead, posted “clinical considerations” on the CDC’s website about myocarditis.”

The report, titled “Failure to Warn: How Federal Health Agencies Downplayed the Risk of Myocarditis and Other Adverse Events Following COVID-19 Vaccination,” was released on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, by Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis. The 55-page PDF accused the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)—under the supervision of the Biden administration—of delaying and soft-pedaling warnings about myocarditis risks, potentially endangering the public health of millions of individuals living in the United States.

As previously noted, many health freedom advocates have essentially shouted from the rooftop about the grave dangers of the jabs at the exact moment the unprecedented, experimental gene-damaging shots became mandatory. Though described as being released to the public for the first time in conjunction with the May 21 hearing, several portions of these documents have already been made public, though often fragmented and redacted. Undoubtedly, along with Sen. Johnson, many thanks belong to the tireless efforts of individuals who have filed Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests over the years and then subsequently published and reported on the records they obtained. Though again overlooked by the Biden administration’s public health agencies, each issued a dire warning. The report mentioned:

“Portions of these documents have already been made public over the years with various redactions through the tireless efforts of individuals who filed Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) requests and published the records they obtained. Other documents, some of which will be discussed below, have remained hidden from the public and Congress for years despite Chairman Johnson’s efforts to obtain the information.”

As noted on Page 2, footnote 3 of the report, FOIA’d CDC emails cited by Ed Berkovich, Amy Kelly, and others in Daily Clout (November 2, 2023) and The Pfizer Papers by Naomi Wolf and Amy Kelly (2024), revealed many of the details about the myocarditis timeline. Likewise, articles by Zachary Stieber in The Epoch Times (January 17, 21, 26, and April 22, 2024) referenced FOIA-obtained records about the CDC’s decision not to issue a myocarditis alert and the FDA’s influence on that decision and a Children’s Health Defense article by Brenda Baletti (November 27, 2024) examined records suggesting the CDC hid data on myocarditis. Again, the voices of these patriots—each desperately trying to protect the American public—were ignored by those with the power to pause the deadly mRNA jabs.

Thank God the truth is finally reaching the masses. The report states that, in conjunction with “this interim report,” Sen. Johnson is releasing 2,473 pages of records he received under his subpoena. The report highlights that the Biden administration previously ignored or poorly addressed Johnson’s oversight requests. For example, the unredacted May 25, 2021, Biden White House talking points were only provided after the subpoena, having been fully redacted in prior FOIA releases. What exactly were these talking points? The 17-page document titled “Tough QA” begins with a section entirely dedicated to information regarding the risk of myocarditis following COVID-19 vaccination, calling them “rare (underlined), mild, and often going away without needing treatment.”

“Tough QA” was emailed by Benjamin Wakana, Biden’s Deputy Director for Strategic Communications and Engagement,” to top U.S. health officials, including then-CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, then-NIAID Director Anthony Fauci, and then-NIH Director Francis Collins. Previously fully redacted in FOIA releases, these talking points were obtained unredacted through Senator Ron Johnson’s January 28, 2025, subpoena to HHS. While this report focuses on the coverup surrounding the risk of myocarditis following the mRNA jab, the talking points covered additional topics that were intentionally mishandled, including COVID-19 vaccine efficacy and the Wuhan lab leak.

As described in the report, the key points and quotes from the unredacted talking points minimized the risks of myocarditis following mRNA COVID-19 vaccination by claiming cases were “rare” and “mild,” and often resolving without treatment. These claims are despite internal CDC concerns about underreporting in VAERS. The talking points maintained that the CDC was “transparently communicating” with the public, a claim entirely contradicted by the agency’s pause in issuing a formal HAN warning and its dependence on less urgent “clinical considerations” as posted on May 28, 2021.

Additionally, the talking points strongly recommended COVID-19 vaccination for those 12 and older, underscoring the dangerous jabs as “the best way to protect against COVID-19” and a means to “get back to normal.” And also, the best way to keep grandma alive. Sigh. At the time, these coercive and fear-based statements were vehemently condemned as being deceptive by those of us on this side, given the sheer uncertainties about the long-term effects of the mRNA shots and the heavy warnings from numerous experts about breakthrough infections. Indeed, the script that makes up these talking points, distributed to top health officials like Rochelle Walensky and Anthony Fauci, put the deep state agenda over the health and safety of the American population.

Make no mistake, the talking points presented by the Biden regime prioritized vaccine promotion over transparent risk communication, undoubtedly influencing the decision to forgo a formal myocarditis warning. This blatant negligence is responsible for countless injuries and deaths. What a nightmare. Think about it. While aggressively targeting those opposed to their vaccine mandates as a domestic terrorist threat, the Biden administration intentionally disregarding significant heart health damage stemming from the experimental mRNA COVID-19 jabs. These facts speak volumes about the agenda at play.
